TR takes his boards July 27th then we’ll both be travel therapists! This will be where we share our experiences from each contract and anything learned along the way!
For those that aren’t familiar, most travel therapy contracts are 13 weeks long. The whole concept of travel therapy has always been very appealing to us because we have no idea where we want to settle, but we look forward to living in and exploring a new place every 3 months!
As of right now we’re working with a few different recruiters and plan to head towards Washington state. There seems to be plenty of jobs to be had- currently just waiting on Hailey’s licensure to get finalized. Physical therapy has the PT compact which makes licensing (in 18 states) super simple. OT on the other hand does not have the compact in place yet so I have just been working on getting licensed in any of the states that we think we may end up. Some states take longer than others, and we were warned about Washington- turns out those folks were right!
