When we moved in together in 2016 we were renting a riverfront apartment in New Braunfels, TX- where we had an absolute blast! Soon though, we began scheming on how to afford ourselves the best opportunity to travel. It was quite clear that throwing an exorbitant amount of money out the window on rent every month was the not the
path.
We had begun discussing “a tiny home” about a month into dating and way before ever actually living together because we were just on the same page with life in general from day one. We broke our lease a bit short and spent the winter break of 2016-2017 renovating an RV after completely gutting it and transformed our 1999 5th wheel a home we were proud of. Now it was set to take us to whichever school we would go to and whatever was in store after that (travel therapy we hoped).
Now it’s 2021 and we have been living in the RV for 4 and a half years and loving every minute! Throughout TR’s schooling at Texas State we have lived in New Braunfels, Georgetown, and our favorite Seguin with the beautiful Guadalupe River steps away as our front yard! RV life has treated us well so far and we can’t wait to hit the road to head out West to begin our Travel Therapy adventure!!
